Unusable Willow Shoots

Selected photographs from Helga Teiwes' series documenting Arizona native basketry traditions.

Willow shoots growing in the sandy soil next to San Carlos Wash. Generally, this willow is not used for basketry- it breaks too easily. The negatives in this collection were scanned on an Epson Expression 10000 XL. The file sizes range from 107.8 MB to 212.1 MB at a resolution of 1600 dpi. The original TIFF scans were converted to JPEGs using ACDSee Photo Manager 12 in March 2012. Digitizing Technician: Lana K. Tupponce.
