Description: 

Leora Kayquoptewa of Hotevilla in her kitchen. She is putting siváapi (rabbitbrush) into boiling scarlet aniline dye. This will allow her to use the color scarlet in her weaving to help create the patterns. Scanned on a Nikon Supercool Scan 9000 at 4000 DPI. Photoshop was used to clean up dust specks via cloning and reformatted from TIFF to JPEG. Digitizing Technician: Michael William Jenkins.
