Annabelle Nequatewa attaches a suuvi (sumac) ring to her plaited basket

Annabelle Nequatewa of Shungopovi attaches the suuvi (sumac) ring to her basket by wrapping the yucca strands around the ring. The sumac ring can be seen bare on some parts and with the mooho (yucca) plants already wrapped around it. Yucca strands which have both been dyed and have not been dyed can be seen sticking out from all sides of the basket. Scanned on a Nikon Supercool Scan 9000 at 4000 DPI.
