Almarie Masayestewa adding siwi (dune broom) strips to a wicker plaque

Almarie Masayestewa of Hotevilla adds siwi (dune broom) strips in the corners by pushing them between the siváapi (rabbitbrush) weave. The strips have been sharpened to a point with a knife. Scanned on a Nikon Supercool Scan 9000 at 4000 DPI. Photoshop was used to clean up dust specks via cloning and reformatted from TIFF to JPEG. Digitizing Technician: Michael William Jenkins.
